I give tribute where tribute is due. Mrs. Cox was a wonderful teacher of mine. I have never forgotten her. I saw her in the late 90's and she remembered me and commented on my handwriting which she liked very much and had not forgotten. I've thought about her so many times over the years and since then. What a credit to this society she was. I would that all kids had such a great lady for a teacher.

I was sad to learn of your loss. My husband and I taught with Peggy at Edgewood. She was a wonderful lady to work with, and I know she will be missed. Your happy memories of her life should give you many years of peace and joy.

We are praying for each of you and God bless each and everyone.

Mrs Cox was gentle and kind and soft spoken. A stauch defender of the less fortunate, a lover of pets and children; devoted to her family and friends. She was my neighbor and friend and I know my life is better for having known her. God bless.

Mrs. Cox, a wonderful teacher at Edgewood Christian. I have so many personal memories. She helped me through some rough times that teenagers "suffer". I remember her wise words and gentle smile to this day. She had an amazingly comforting soul. May your family find comfort in this sad time but know so much love surrounds all of you. Peace be with you. Dana

Mrs. Cox was an outstanding and inspirational teacher. All of her students could truly see God's love shine through her. I graduated from EFHS in 1997, and when I reflect back on my fond memories of high school, my interaction with Mrs. Cox is one of the highlights. Every school needs more teachers like Mrs. Cox. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I am so glad that through one of Peggy's nurses I was able to discover her earlier this spring and paid a couple of visits. She was her lovely self the couple of times that we visited. We remembered people and students and had some great visits. I do want the family to know that I left my 2012 East Forstyh yearbook with Peggy to look at so I will gladly retrieve it if someone will call me at 869-6047 and tell me where to come.

My memories of high school were good memories...and largely because of Ms. Cox. She was not just my teacher...but my friend. She was always good and kind...always a positive attitude. If you went into her class with negative thought, you came out with a big smile on your face. She will be sorely missed.
To the family, may your sadness soon be replaced with fond memories.

I have known Peggy since I was in high school and she was teaching English. She was always a happy, bubbly person who truly delighted in her students and in life. My first year teaching at East, I had the pleasure of working with Peggy who greatly impacted my attitude towards my students--I learned to love them all despite any blemishes.
I am saddened to hear of her passing; she will be greatly missed. She is an inspiration.

Thank you Ms. Cox for all the lessons of life that you taught me. I will always be thankful that I was able to share part of my life with you. You have been in my prayers for a long time. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Michael and Alan if there is anything I can do for your families please let me know. May the good Lord be with you all.

I was so sorry to read of Peggy's passing. I can remember her as a teacher at Edgewood Christian School when she taught my daughter. But I also remember her as a student at Walkertown High School in 1954 when she was the student ambassador that showed the new 9th Grade students around the High School. She was a genuine person then and I believe she always was the same. She was a great teacher and I am sure she will always be remembered and her life lessons will follow through the generations that are left to honor her. May our Blessed Savior comfort and keep her children, grandchildren, and other family members until they go home to join her. God bless.

To Peggy's family I offer heartfelt condolences at the loss of your mother and grandmother. She was a teacher well loved by her students. I like the quotation that accompanies her obituary about adjusting the sails when the wind does not blow your way.

After hearing of Peggy's passing, I paused for a long moment to think of how empty my life would have been had I not met her. She treated me as a daughter from the first time we met and showed me much love and guidance in many times of need. Peggy - you will be missed!! Rest in peace. Much love always and never forgotten.

I am remembering so many times with Peggy....we were born just five months apart and her Mother and my Dad were brother and sister. When we moved to Walkertown I was overjoyed to be in school with her, to be her classmate as well as her cousin. We are out of state and cannot come to the service but please know that we will hold all of you in our heart and pray for your strength and your healing. It is good to know this parting is temporary. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven. My love to all of you.
Sandy

Mrs. Cox was my teacher at Edgewood Christian School for years. She was a teacher and she was my friend too. She was always there to help you learn and just to help you period. I always remembered Mrs. Cox and all she taught me and all she was to me. She left an impression on me and many others that we will carry with us throughout our entire lives. I know I am a much better person because she touched my life. God bless Michael and Alan and their families. God bless you Peggy Cox. You will be missed.. and remembered fondly forever.

Peggy was by far one of my most inspirational teachers during my years a East Forsyth high school. She guided and encouraged my writing career. She represented what a true teacher should be. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
