Ronald Hosford

Obituary of Ronald Thomas Hosford

Ronald “Ron” Thomas Hosford, 72, of Kernersville passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Kernersville Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born in 1949, in Spring Hill, Tennessee, to the late Dorothy “Dot” Hosford and the late William “Tony” Thomas Hosford.

Ron was absolutely the type of person who was always making everyone laugh, pulling out a goofy move or firing off a joke whip-fast. He had a way of making people feel comfortable. So many people described him as a man they viewed as a father. He was especially kind and compassionate to those who never had that sort of figure in their life.

For work, Ron painted all sorts of aircrafts, and he loved what he did. He was excellent in his trade, receiving multiple awards throughout his lifetime. He was also well-traveled, having seen the majority of the United States in his time. He was exceptionally hard-working and those he worked with praised him well.

Ron was a devoted husband for 34 years to Melissa Lynn Hosford (Lisa, as he called her); a loving father to son, Jonathan “JT” Thomas Hosford; a daughter, Kristie “Kris” Lynn Hosford; and son, Brian Thomas Hosford. He is also survived by daughters, Tracy Thomas DeSanto, Kim Thomas Harle, and Tanith Marie Arevalo; and his brother, Danny Hosford.

Ron will be fondly remembered for his absolutely undying love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, old-fashioned ‘taters’, dancing in the kitchen, and his hard-working, kind nature. He will be so missed.
