Dad I miss you and I love you so much. I didn't say it enough while you were alive I am sorry for that. You will always be in my thoughts and everything thing I do if I can be half the man you were I will be in good shape. I hope that you are having a blast in heaven and I know I will see you when I get there but don't wait up cause it won't be any time soon. I hope that one day I can throw a funny insult together like you did that will make people wonder if they should laugh or be offended. I am glad that you were so close to God and Jesus cause I don't need to worry about you anymore now that you are with them. I will cherish the things you taught me good and bad. One day when I have kids of my own I can only hope to be as good of a dad to them as you were to me. You taught me what it means to work hard and to put your family first. I will always love you and I am super proud of you.You will be sorely missed goodbye for now dad.

There's a thousand memories ik I could think to write about doing things with my dad. But the most recent one is simple and something I'll remember forever. It just a normal sunday night with a surprise snow storm. The Steelers were hosting the ravens football team for the chance to go to the playoffs this season. It was Big Bens last home game and all we wanted was for him to win it, especially against a rival team. Even though those games stressed us out more than anything I always had the best time watching those games with him. Especially because he was a diehard football fan and it made me laugh watching him freak out over the games. The Steelers did end up winning that night and it made him really happy to see them win. It made me happy to see him happy because of it. I love you daddyo. Now and forever.

Daddy... words can't describe how blind-sided we all were by this. One moment, we were out shopping together, singing in the car, laughing, joking. The next moment, you were gone. I can't tell you how much that hurts. Our relationship was strange-- there was a lot of unresolved issues between us that I wanted to fix so badly. Despite that, I love you so dearly and I hate that I will never get to hold your hand or take pictures with filters with you ever again. We won't hear you yelling, "Yeah baby!" at the Steelers games anymore. We won't be the same 5 person family we've always been.
I guess I just want to thank you for taking care of me. Even when things got really tough, you somehow made sure we had everything we needed to survive. Best of all, you always took care of Mom. No one will ever make me laugh quite the same way you did, and I'm sorry for the things you didn't get to see. I know you are in heaven with Nanny and Papa. Say hello to all the animals, too! I love you so much, El Padre. I hope I can make you proud as you watch over us. Until I see you again.
