Obituary of Henry Aldridge

Kernersville-Henry Arthur Aldridge, 81, left his earthly home Monday August 5, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 9, 2013 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with the Rev. Ted Strelow officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee Aldridge and Phrone Spry Aldridge, and sisters Lilly Belle Vanzant and Sarah Peeler. Henry retired from Duke Power after 32 years of service, he loved to fish and was an avid Braves fan. He also served during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sue Peeler Aldridge of the home; children, Janie Kallam (Denny), Larry Aldridge (Renee), Bonnie Aldridge, and Rhonda Mabe (Kenny); grandchildren Joey Askea, Anna Dickens, and Megan Mabe; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert and Lewis Aldridge; and special friends Grover, Skinner, and Wayne. The family will visit with friends Thursday night from 6PM-8PM at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services. The family would like to thank the Olympic Restaurant in Kernersville and Units 5C and Fifth Floor Ardmore at Baptist Hospital for all their support.
