Obituary of Era Stockton

Kernersville - Era Smith Stockton, 90, went home to be with her Lord Friday January 7, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 3:00PM Sunday January 9, 2011 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Forsyth County, she was the daughter of the late Carvey Smith and Maddie Smith. She was the wife of the late Grady Harden Stockton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kernersville. In addition to her husband, and parents, she also was preceded in death by a brother Thurman Smith. Survivors include her sons Billy Stockton, Sr. and his wife Sylvia Sue and Neal Stockton all of Kernersville; grandchildren Billy Stockton, Jr. and Jennifer of Kernersville, Jill Cornwell and Keith of Charlotte, Jeff Stockton and Maria of Kernersville, and Tina Fulp and Mark of Walkertown; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister Goldie Hauser of Kernersville. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 2:45PM Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home. Service Information
