As the Sidney (NY) High School Class of 1976 prepares for our 35th reunion, we pause to remember our classmate Jim aka Harvey. He was actually a member of the 1975 class, however he walked the graduation path with us. In fact the last time I saw him was during the 2005 reunion for 1975 and there was no doubt he felt "back home".

Aunt Anita, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I've been praying for you, my mother and the rest of the family.
I happily remember when he spontaneously pulled the car over in Florida and let my little brother and I pick some wildflowers. I believe they were zinnias and I picked alot of them. Ever since then, I have always pulled over to enjoy the flowers and am teaching my own daughter and son the same principle... to stop and enjoy the beauty of God's creation instead of rushing past. Thank you Uncle Jim for that one kind moment that has lasted a lifetime for me.
All our love (from England),
The Fortners
(David, Cassandra, Evelyn (3) and Jack (8mo))

I had the pleasure of being Jim's friend since 1993. We went on trips together, worked together and spent hours laughing together. It seems unreal that he is gone. I'm thankful that God allowed us to meet.He really enriched my life by being in it.

James was a beautiful person whom I am very honored to have known and proud to have been his cousin. I met him when I was in my early twenties and we attended Bible College together. He was someone that could encourage you when you were feeling down and remind you that God loved you so much. He was a light that shown brightly with the love of God. Even though we lived in different states we always stayed in touch by email. I will miss his words of encouragement that he always had to share with me. I know God has many jewels for his crown what an amazing guy. James I love you so much and thank God for the special memories that we shared. Your Cous Laurie

Jimmy I had the wonderful privilege of getting to know you at BBC. My funniest memory of you is when we were driving home from college for the wkend, and your car broke down. You climbed under the car and fixed it with a coat hanger! You were so talented with cars.God gave you many gifts. Your amazing zeal to tell others about our Lord was awesome. I am thankful for the short time I had to get to know you...you were a blessing to be around. You will be missed. Linda

I am shocked and saddened by Jim's passing. I just spoke with him in Sidney a few weeks ago when I ran into him in a store. Had not seen or talked to him in approx. 10 years. Our talk was short though it was like he had never been away. Old school mates.
Rest In Peace My Friend.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved family and friends at this time of sorrow. May all look forward to a time when all sicknesses, pain, suffering along with death will be no more. Revelation 21:4
This wonderful blessing along with so many more will take place during Christ's Millennial rule. We will even be reunited with our loved ones who have passed away.
