Obituary of David Dyson
Kernersville-David Donald Dyson, Sr. 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior October 12, 2011.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Saturday October 15, 2011 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Margaret Marie McLellan and Pinkney Calvin Dyson. He served with the US National Guard and retired from the Winston-Salem Journal after 37 years of service. He was a member of Kerwin Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his son Daniel Dean Dyson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Margaret Robertson Dyson of the home; son David Donald Dyson, Jr. of Kernersville; granddaughters Melissa Rothrock and Heather Dyson; five beautiful great-granddaughters; brother Paul Dyson of Greensboro; a special first cousin David "Butch" Allred; and a special friend Timmy Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Friday night at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
