Obituary of John Fulton

Biography Kernersville-John Wayne Fulton, 65, went home to be with his Lord October 23, 2011 following a brief illness. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Century Park Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Nina Mae Barrow and John Fewell Fulton. He served his country with the US Marine Corp in Vietnam. He was an ordained Deacon. He labored as a Deacon, and was a member of Century Park Baptist Church. He had worked with Pilot Freight Carriers for 19 years. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brothers Kenny Fulton and Ronnie Covington. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Peggy McCracken Fulton of the home; daughters Angie Rohrer, and Melissa Vestrat and Keith all of Kernersville; son John Wayne Fulton, Jr. and Melissa of Belews Creek; grandchildren Tyler Vestrat, Gabrielle Rohrer, and Christopher Vestrat; sister Donna Walker and David of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; brothers Terry Fulton and Ann of Kernersville, Doug Covington and Kathy of Winston-Salem, and Phil Covington and Kim of Archdale; step-mother Ruby Fulton of Kernersville. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the home of his daughter Melissa Vestrat, 1361 Georgetown Road in Kernersville.
