Obituary of Anne Morgan

Kernersville-Anne Elizabeth Hester Morgan was called to the more immediate presence of her Savior on October 30, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday November 2, 2011 at Kernersville Moravian Church with Pastor R. Donald Winters officiating. Interment will follow in God's Acre at the church. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Anne Gray and Junius M. "JM" Hester. Anne retired from the Greensboro Sears Catalog Order Plant in 1987. She began her career with Sears as a warehouse file clerk and retired as Employment Manager. She was always thinking how all of her fellow employees at Sears were special and good. She was a longtime member of Kernersville Moravian Church, a Diener, an active member of the Women's Fellowship, and was a devoted servant to the church. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her first husband William Henry Morgan who died in 1985, and her second husband William Wood Mintz who died in 2006. She also was preceded in death by an infant son William Gerald Morgan, brother Roger Hester, and sister Mary Ruth Large. Survivors include her sons James "Jimmy" Morgan and Joanne of Colfax, Gray Morgan and Laura of Colfax, and Gene Morgan and Karen of Clayton; step-daughter Linda Poole; step-sons "Butch" Mintz, David Mintz, and Randy Mintz; granddaughters Rebecca Chaney and Matt, and KT Lanier; great-grandson William; several step-grandchildren; sister Ersell Willard of Wallburg; and her brother Jim Hester and Marie of Falls Church, VA. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
