Obituary of Brenda Stockton

Kernersville-Brenda Newman Stockton, 69, went home to be with her Lord November 8, 2011 with her family by her side at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Friday November 11, 2011 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Steve Autrey and Dr. Pete Kunkle officiating. A native of Forsyth County, she was the daughter of Mildred Fulton Newman and the late Walter Franklin Newman. She was a graduate of Walkertown High School Class of 1960. She attended Draughon’s Business College. She was retired from Central Triad Imaging Center in Kernersville. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who thought the world of her family. She simply took great pride in her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments in life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the US and Europe. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years Roger Stockton of the home; daughters Sharon Stockton of Kernersville and Robin Webb and Art of Walkertown; grandchildren Morgan Webb of Walkertown, Andrew Howland of Walkertown, and Grant Anderson of Kernersville; great-granddaughter Emmarie Howland of Walkertown; mother Mildred Fulton Newman of Kernersville; sister Gloria Jones of Kernersville; nephew Terry Jones of Kernersville. The family will visit with friends from 5-7pm Thursday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
