All my childhood memories are of Babbs. I skated there, we lived next door to Mr. Babb, and my brother and I learned to swim at the beach. I have fond memories of purchasing penny candy at the little store, sipping great milkshakes in a booth that overlooked the lake, and watching my father build the brand new bathrooms in the picnic area. Mr. Babb and his father were both a huge part of my life growing up. I was sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

My sincerest and deepest sympathy to the entire Babbs family. My memories of Mr. and Mrs. Babb's, Jr. were from when I was a youngster whom went to their Babb's Beach and roller skating rink couteousy of The Comunity Renewal Team and the Babb's during the summers busing program where hundreds of our neighborhood kids enjoyed their facilities. We loved watching the Babb's dance like ice skaters on rooler skates around the rink for us they were wonderful and a beautiful couple to watch and talk to. They truly loved people in general but kids the very most. R.I.P. Mr. Nelson as I called him. Always in my memories now I'm a grandfather and wish I could take my babies to Babb's Beach once again.
