Obituary of Johannes Ahlfeld

Kernersville- Jürgen Ahlfeld, 58, died unexpectedly Thursday May 3, 2012. A Celebration Service honoring his life will be held 3:00PM Thursday May 10, 2012 at Grass America, Inc., 1202 Highway 66 South in Kernersville. Jürgen Ahlfeld was born in Koblenz, Germany on October 30, 1953. He was the son of Theodora Ludwig and the late Anton Ahlfeld. Survivors include his loving wife Genovefa Ahlfeld; daughters Julia and Anna; son Philipp; mother Theodora Ahlfeld; sister Barbara Birk and brother-in-law Jürgen Birk. He started his career for the Grass Group as technical director in 2000 and with his unprecedented commitment he achieved remarkable successes for Grass. In January 2011 he began working for Grass America. Even in economically difficult times he was able to motivate his employees to their best performances and most of all to loyalty towards our company. Recently he had been appointed CEO of Grass America Inc. Those of us who worked with him on a daily basis and those who knew him appreciated his human and positive nature – we are going to miss him, but the memory is certain to remain. With Jürgen Ahlfeld we lose an extraordinary husband, father, son, brother, colleague, employee, and friend.
