Obituary of Max Dillon

Rural Hall-Max Edward Dillon, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 10, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Monday May 14, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville with Pastor Gary Styers of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. A native of Kernersville, Max was the son of the late Annie Taylor Dillon and Roland Dillon. He was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He had been enjoying his retirement for the past nine years. He will be missed by his family, friends, and also his canine companion “Scooby”. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his daughter Ramona Faye Dillon and his brother Tommy Dillon. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years Faye Ferguson Dillon of the home; daughter Angie Dillon-Williard and Steve of Kernersville; son Vince Dillon and Sasha Balkaran of the home; grandsons Matt and Ben Williard; sisters Ruth Hicks and Bonnie Longworth and Donnie; brother Ray Dillon and Melissa; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
