Obituary of Clinton Melton

Kernersville-Clinton "Clint" Dale Melton, 37, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2012 in Oak Island, NC where he was making his home. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 6:00PM Wednesday June 20, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Lyle Parker an old childhood friend, and Rev. Phil Hulen officiating. Interment will be held 11:00AM Thursday at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Forsyth County, Clint was the son of Leah Gable Melton and Clinton Melvin "Bill" Melton. He attended East Forsyth High School and worked with his family business "Bill and Leah's". He loved golfing, cooking, reading, and was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. Survivors include his father and mother Bill and Leah Melton of Kernersville; daughter Abigail Melton of Winston-Salem; sister Melissa Melton of Kernersville; grandmother Patsy Doss Melton of Kernersville; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. The family will continue to visit with friends following the service on Wednesday until 8PM at the funeral home.
