Obituary of Dolores Gordon

Kernersville-Dolores Slobodzianuk Gordon, 82, passed away October 21, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday November 2, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at 1:00PM in the National Cemetery in Salisbury. A native of North Chicago, Illinois, Dolores was the daughter of the late Maryanne Grendis and Anton Slobodzianuk. She was working with the US Navy Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois when she met John Joseph Gordon. They were married November 7, 1959. Survivors include her husband John J. Gordon of the home; daughter Lynn Eckert and Christopher of Durham; grandson Bryan Eckert of Durham; brother Eugene Slobodzianuk of Kenosha, Wisconsin; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
