Obituary of Lilburn Spindler
High Point, N.C.-Lilburn Alvin Spindler of High Point, N.C., passed away on December 28, 2012.
Al was born in Kirksville, Missouri, graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1964, married Carolyn Beth Hertzler, moved to Sunnyvale, CA. and began a 36-year career with Western Electric, AT&T Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, relocated to Winston-Salem, N.C. in 1967. He worked on government contracts aboard ship involving extensive travel internationally.
Son of the late Anabel and Lilburn Spindler, La Plata, Mo.; Father of Saxon D. Spindler of the home, and Ashley J. Spindler, Columbia, Mo.; Brother of Judy Redmon, Brookfield, Mo. and the late George Spindler; Surviving Family members, Gary Redmon of Brookfield, Mo., Carolyn Spindler Kahn, Chuck Kahn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Ann Hertzler Bullock, Bill Bullock of La Plata, Mo.; longtime friend Lise Bergeron of High Point, N.C.; Because of Als wit and wisdom, strong character and personality, forever memorable to family and friends.
Interment in the family plot, La Plata, Mo.
