Obituary of James Wilson

Biography James Harvey Wilson, Jr. was born March 16, 1927 in Florence, South Carolina to James Harvey Wilson, Sr. and Martha Jane Gamble Wilson. He passed away January 7, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem North Carolina after a brief illness. Harvey is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson; brother Burgess Wilson (Doris) of Sumter, SC; his children Nelie Wilson Griffin and her fiance, Edwin Walker, of Winston-Salem, NC , Irma Wilson Comer (John) of Kernersville, NC , James Harvey Wilson, III of Belews Creek, NC; step-children Len Simpson, Deborah Hayes, Pam Williams (Norman) all of Meadows of Dan, VA; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by infant son, David Gamble Wilson, daughter, Jane Wilson Spano, and step-son Mike Simpson. Harvey , a Sumter, South Carolina native has lived in Meadows of Dan, Virgnia with his wife Betty, since 1991. He served his country with the US Navy. He was a long time employee of Motorola, having retired in 1981. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as an extremely accomplished and recognized businessman. Those who really knew Harvey understood that his heart was as big as the mountain he lived on. His memorial will be held at Moody's Funeral Services in Stuart, Virginia at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Service Information
