Obituary of Glenn Pendley

Glenn L. Pendley, 61, went home to be with his Lord February 19, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Sunday February 24, 2013 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Dzugan officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30PM Sunday at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. A native of California, Glenn was the son of the late Hilda Blalock Pendley and Joseph Nathaniel Pendley. He served his Country with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Debra Lee Gilbert June 23, 1973. He started his career with Aviation Filtration in California and stayed in that field his entire life. He most recently worked with Facet USA. His career included travels to Spokane, WA, Jackson, TN, Kernersville, NC, and numerous other locations in Asia. Glenn loved to ride his Harley, play golf, making chocolate chip cookies with his grandchildren, and hosting family parties. Survivors include his loving wife Debra Pendley of the home; daughter Suzanne Ferris and her husband Mark of Reidsville; sons Nathan Pendley and his wife Kim of Lakewood, CA, and Michael Pendley and his wife Kayla of Vacaville, CA; grandchildren Nicole Hughes, Jared Hughes, Jacob Hughes, Katie Ferris, and Ethan Pendley; several other extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends beginning at Noon on Sunday until time for the service at the funeral home. Service Information
