Obituary of Ralph Wampler

Mr. Ralph Douglas Wampler died on July 25, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital while visiting in Galax, VA. Mr. Wampler was a member of the Burlington Amateur Radio Club and the Whiskey Jack Club; he was formerly known as 'The Joker'. The Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 29, at 2:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, conducted by Reverend Larry Janie. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Wampler was born in Guilford County and was residing in Graham. Before becoming unable to work, Mr. Wampler worked at AKG a machine manufactory. Mr. Wampler is survived by his wife, Brenda Andrews Wampler; his mother, Gladie Robertson Wampler; four sons, Emery Curtis, Timothy Bruce and daughter-in-law Stephanie, Ralph Clayton and Matthew Douglas Wampler; three sisters, Connie Cox, Pete Wampler and Wonda Mathis; and a brother, Steven Wampler and two grandchildren. Mr. Wampler was preceded in death by his father Ralph Brown Wampler. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 28, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
