Obituary of Sarah Walters Moore

Sarah Emma Walters Moore died Sunday, August 1, 2010 in Rockingham County. Mrs. Moore was born on February 18, 1918 in Guilford County to Bud and Emma Walters. She worked in a nursing home, at Cone Mills and as a housewife. Her graveside funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Lakeview Memory Park at 2 pm. The Rev. Lloyd Smith will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 3, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home from 7 till 9 pm. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Moore, sister Kathleen Phillips, brothers, Clyde and Elmer Walters; half sisters and brothers, Lizzie Grant, Cora Young, Vassie Harris, Carrie Pearman, Mary Kendricks, Frank, Tom, Charlie Pearman. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Bill) Gray, a son, Robert (Susan) Moore; five grandchildren, Joe, Richard, April, Angie and Chris; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher, Erica, Nikki, Ashlyn, Larissa, Jeremy and Austin; and three great-great-grandchild, Kimberly, Savannah and Colin. In lieu of flowers the family would like for donations to be made in memory of Sarah Moore to Hospice of Rockingham County, 2150 NC Hwy 65 Wentworth, NC 27375.
