Obituary of James Phillips

Mr. James Marvin Phillips, Jr. Mr. James Marvin Phillips, Jr., 82, passed away October 20, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday October 23, 2010 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dennis Tabor officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Phillips was born August 20, 1928 in Guilford County to James and Evelyn York Phillips. He was a devoted family man, a loving grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Vera Pardue Phillips. Survivors include a daughter; Judy P. Kersey and husband Warren of McLeansville, two sons; Randy Phillips and wife Sandy of Greensboro, Tim Phillips and wife Dee of Burlington. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers Jack Phillips and wife Mary of Myrtle Beach, SC and Joe Phillips and wife Janice of Kernersville. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue , Greensboro, NC 27410 Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home is assisting the Phillips family.
