Obituary of Elsie Jones

Mrs. Elsie May Jones, 79, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Gary Smith and Reverend Larry Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Jones was born March 2, 1931, to Robert and Mary Florence Waller. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and loved her flowers and cooking for her family. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 62 years, Homer Jones; daughters, Mary Garrett and husband Randy, of Gibsonville, Vickie Kendrick and husband Larry, of Clemons; son, Mark Jones and wife Robin, of Greensboro; sister, Peggy Collins and husband Guy, of Asheboro; brothers, Carl Waller, of Pleasant Garden, and Jerry Waller, of Stuart, VA; 10 grandchildren, Mike and Keith Bottoms, Brian Kendrick, Wendy Loye, Amanda and Steven Osborne, Christopher, Katie, Matt, and Tyler Jones, and 10 great-grandchildren.
