Obituary of Robert Gibbons

Robert M Gibbons, 79, passed away Thursday, October 28th 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 7 pm, Monday, Nov 1st, 2010 at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, located at 5120 Burlington Road, Greensboro, NC. Mr. Gibbons was born in Scotia, NY, to the Late James and Janet Gibbons. He is survived by his wife Nancy Gibbons of McLeansville, NC, Daughter Michele Mathurin of Westerly RI, Daughter Debra Boles of Greensboro, NC, Daughter Janel Gibbons of Burlington, NC, two Grandchildren and Grayson and Mackenzie Boles of Greensboro NC. Robert was a favored Gloversville NY, High School teacher for 33 years, and a US Navy Korean War Veteran. He was an active member of multiple Masonic Organizations. He was raised at Beukendaal Lodge in NY, affliated and Master of St Patrick's Lodge, later to become High Priest, Illustrious Master and Commander of St George Commandery. In 2004, he was a Sigma Bodies, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Schenectady Meritorious Service Award Recipient.His accomplishments and efforts include the following, Lodge of Profection, Thrice Potent Master, Chapter, Council, Consistory, Shrine Cyprus Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, Albany York Rite College, Knights of the York Cross of Honour, Knights Masons, and Holy Royal Arch Knights Templar Preist.
