Obituary of Judy Thigpen

Mrs. Judy I. Thigpen, 66, of Greensboro, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 and is now safe in the presence of her Savior. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Sam Blevins officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Judy was born October 17, 1944 in Cripple Creek, Virginia, to the late Jeffrie and Della Blevins. She was truly the heart of her family, a loving and devoted wife to Bob for 43 years. Steve, her son, Craig and Dillon her grandsons, were the 'Apple of her eye'. Family was her passion. Everything she did was an expression of her love. Her beautiful spirit will be greatly missed. Judy is survived by her husband, Robert Thigpen; her loving son Steve Joyce and wife Rhonda, of Pleasant Garden; grandsons, Craig Joyce of Greensboro and Dillion Joyce of Pleasant Garden; a great-granddaughter, Karsyne Joyce; sisters, Mary Blackburn, of Lewisville, Susan Collins, of Randleman; brothers, Guilford Blevins, of Fries, VA, Ronnie Blevins, Harry Blevins, both of Randleman, and Allen Blevins, of Pleasant Garden; several nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Blevins, Dempsey Blevins, and Carl Blevins.
