To the Corpening family my wife and I want to express our deepest condolences for your loss. The loss of Mr. Corpening brings much pain and suffering to your family. Comfort can only be found in the Bible. As Christians you believe in the resurrection hope for Mr. Corpening offered by Jesus Christ. He said at John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercise faith in me will live". Jesus also offers comfort to the family through prayer. Jesus prayed often to his father Jehovah God. Psalms 34:18 "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves".We will have your family in our thoughts.

Dad,You were by far the greatest dad anyone could ever hope to have! You were always very quiet and soft spoken, but when you spoke your words were full of wisdom and power. You lived what you taught! You were a man of great integrity who believed in commitment and keeping promises at any cost. Thank you for all the life lessons you taught me.Thank you for spending so much time with me during my childhood and teaching me little things and great things about life. You were the best Sunday School teacher ever! You didn't restrict your teaching to church. we were constantly reminded at home of what God expected of us. I am grateful that I had a chance to tell you how you impacted my life before you went to be with Jesus. Today, I am confident and at peace to know that you are with the one you loved and served for so many years,JESUS. I look forward to seeeing you again. Until then Dad, REST IN PEACE.I LOVE YOU!! Your daughter

When God created my Dad he must have used a special mold and discarded that mold shortly after because there is no other man that has walked this earth that was as strong and as special as my Dad. My Dad was unique and special in each way. I love him more than words can ever express. -Love beyond the skies, Micki.

Grandad, I love you. Your presence will be missed but we know you are in a much better place. I can see you now, with that warn smile of yours, smiling down on this large family of yours. You have left a legacy like no other. You have been the epitome of a man of God. You loved our family, you provided for your family and you protected your family. My brother and I always felt special whenever we were with you and Grandma, but you made all of us feel that way. One of the things I will remember most about you is how you use to laugh at me and my brother and our silly dancing and singing. You are an awsome man, the patriarch of our family. I love and will see you soon.

My hero, mentor, father, friend and confidant is now with the LORD! Thank you for your love, life and legacy...For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (Gal. 2:19-21 KJV)

Grandad, Grandfather, Dad...No matter how you say it, words cannot explain the love that you've showed and the love that we have for you! You displayed one of the best christian walk with God of anyone I know! I remember you used to laugh at ALL my jokes, and believe me..I could tell em'!:) I know you are enjoying meeting the man (God) that kept you all these years! I know you miss us, but you couldnt be any happier right now! I may cry a little, but its only because I love you just that much! Grandad, I'm not perfect...But I strive to be better each and everyday! I ask God all the time to help me walk more and more like him! If you could whisper a prayer in God's ear for me! I know that your spirit will forever show it's love! If I had to label you..The words that would come to mind would be..STRONG, GOD FEARING, A LOVING MAN, SOME THAT I NEVER HEARD TALK ABOUT ANYONE..PRAYER WARRIOR and simply..A MAN AFTER GOD"S OWN HEART! No one knew that once you left WW2..You would end up a SOLDIER FOR CHRIST! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! Grandad, dont be up there giving all my kisses away with that PRICKLY BEARD!...lol..I will miss you...until we meet again! LOVE ALWAYS, YOUR COMICAL GRANDAUGHTER...CRYSTAL!!:)

Granddaddy, you will live on in our hearts forever. It's sad to see you go but, I will hold onto the memories we shared for a lifetime. I'm gonna miss you, and I want to know my life will never be the same with you gone. You are my greatest inspiration and I love you for so many reasons but, the greatest reason I love you is because you lead your life by example. Love was exuberant through your kindness. Your smile held a distinctive light. You are and were so very special to me... my granddaddy, my mentor, sometimes a father, teacher, preacher, plumber, and a disciplinarian, but most of all my friend... Gone but never forgotten. Your granddaughter, Robin.
