Obituary of Lena Nease

Mrs. Lena F. Nease, 90, of Greensboro, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Blumenthal's Jewish Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Carraway United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Dianne Marsden officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Nease was born October 19, 1920, in Liberty County, Georgia to Roland Daniel and Carrie Blocker Floyd. She was married to the late Major Darius 'Buddy' Nease and a member of Carraway United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Nease Crum, beloved sister Ruby Floyd Dalton and Betty Robinson. Mrs. Nease is survived by her nephews, Edward J. McConnell and wife Kathy, and James G. McConnell, all of Greensboro; sisters, Vivian Adams, of Newburgh, NY and Doris Hoppe, of Bluffton, SC; other special nieces and nephews.
