Obituary of Linda Griggs

Mrs. Linda Bowman Griggs, 83, passed away on the morning of Saturday April 30, 2011 at the Hospice Home Of Alamance. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday May 2, 2011 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jess Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. A native of Stokes County, NC, Linda was born on September 7, 1927 the daughter to the late Jiles Garland and Rosa Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Griggs and her son Charles Ray Griggs. She was retired from Cone Mills and a member of Pineland Street Full Gospel Church. 'She was an Angel sent from above', a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Adkins and husband William of Greensboro, Ruth Sanders and husband Jimmy of Mebane and Jane Ledford and husband Odes of Gibsonville, her sister Elizabeth Edwards and husband Alfred of Hampstead, NC, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.
