Obituary of Margaret Meaney

Margaret 'Peg' McAvoy Meaney Margaret 'Peg' McAvoy Meaney, 91, passed away on July 23, 2011. She was born in Bronx, NY, on January 28, 1920 to William John and Agnes Cecelia Thorp McAvoy. There will be a Funeral Mass on July 29, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, at 11am, with Father John Allen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Meaney was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vincent A., a daughter, Margaret Mikol, and a sister, Helen Konen. She is survived by her daughter, Marianne (Wayne) Woody, a son, John (Terri) Meaney, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2715 Horsepen Creek Rd., Greensboro, 27410 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave. 27405.
