Obituary of David Deal

Mr. David Arthur Deal, 85, of Greensboro, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Powder Springs, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at Stevens Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Russell Pinkelton officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Deal was born August 27, 1925 in Statesville, NC to the late Clarence and Margaret Keever Deal. He was married to the late Aleda Blackwood Deal. He served in the US Army during WWII and was MIA/ POW in Japan. He was a member of the Greensboro POWs, VFW White Oaks, and Stevens Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Deal is survived by his daughters, Sherrie Yearack, of Woodstock, GA and Patricia Salasky, of Powder Springs, GA; sister, Ruby Money, of Stateville; brother, Glen Deal and wife Shirley, of Statesville; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
