Obituary of Dorothy Harrington

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Harrington, 47, of Greensboro, died Thursday, September 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 12th, at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Johnny Pearson and Reverend Clary L. Phelps officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Mrs. Harrington was born May 30, 1964 in Guilford County to Tommy Lee Harrington and the late Carrie Mae Harrington. She was employed by Friends Home West and part time at Target and was a faithful member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. Mrs. Harrington is survived by her daughter, LaMyre Harrington, of the home; grandson, Landon S. Harrington; father, Tommy Harrington, of Greensboro; sister, Betty J. Harrington, of Greensboro; brothers, Tommie J. (Tammy) Harrington, Gregory I. (Brenda) Harrington, and Dennis M. Harrington; nieces, Keva N. (Jamaal) Ferrell, Shanikwa Harrington, Anyel (Risshan) Wright, Qumeisha Wilkerson; nephews, Jamon Harrington and Jordan Harrington; special friend Aldrige 'Red' Dillard.
