Obituary of Lavada Heath

Mrs. Lavada Matthews Heath, 80, of Greensboro, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Mrs. Heath was born October 10, 1931 in Wilson County, NC to Charlie and Penny Batts Matthews. She was married to the late Paul Heath. She was a retired home health care worker and an ordained Minister. She loved growing flowers, reading the bible, music, and spending time with grandkids. Mrs. Heath is survived by her daughters, Billie Lewis, Kathy Burtner, Vicky Derushia, son, Ricky Heath, all of Greensboro; sisters Elsie Skinner and Gray Lindsey, of Wilson, NC; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many friends.
