Obituary of Paul Bridges

Mr. Paul F. Bridges Sr., 97, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Wesley Long Hospital. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, November 25th, at Guilford Memorial Park, with the Reverend Richard Wright officiating. Mr. Bridges was born June 4, 1914 in Inman, South Carolina, to Joseph and Mollie Littlefield Bridges. He was married to the late Myrtle Anne Bridges. He was a former member of Lions Club and formerly worked for Bridges Furniture Company, eventually retiring from Kimbrell's Funiture Company. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Moss Bridges and his son, Paul F. Bridges Jr. Mr. Bridges is survived by his granddaughters, Mechelle Lanier (Dorian) of Greensboro and Lisa McMillion (Tim) of Madison; great-granddaughters, Megan Cockman (Joseph Aquino) and Kayla Smothers (Timothy); great-great-grandson, Elijah Smothers.
