Obituary of Wanda Hawkins Goins

Whitsett Wanda Sue Hawkins Goins Wanda Sue Hawkins Goins, 64, passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 23, 2011. Wanda was born on August 23, 1947 to Charles James and Dorothy Lucille Smith Hawkins in Cleveland, TN, where she lived until she was 24 and then she moved to NC where she was employed with Burlington Kidney Center for 31 years. The Funeral Service will take place at New Life Worship Center on Clapp Farms Road in Greensboro at 2:30 pm Sunday November 27 with Pastor D. J. Abbott officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Brenda Swafford; one nephew, John Swafford; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Mary Goins; paternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. She was survived by her husband of 29 years, Jay Goins; one daughter Misty Ellis; one son and daughter-in-law David and Daisy Ellis; two grandsons, Joshua and Trenton Ellis; two granddaughters, Trinity and Jasmine Ellis, three sisters and their husbands, Charlotte and Larry Phillips, Patty and Gary Mason, Cathey and Ricky Lawson all of Cleveland, TN and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Saturday November 26 from 5:30 - 8 pm.
