GREENSBORO MABEL RAY Mabel Louise York Ray, 94, formerly of Greensboro, widow of Jesse Willard Ray, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home chapel with burial following at the Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Martha Lusadie Williamson York. She was a member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are daughter, Martha Louise Ray Davisson (George Nelson), of El Cajon, CA; son, Jesse Willard Ray, Jr. (Dianne), of Pelzer, SC. She was a proud grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of twenty-one, great- great- grandmother of two, and aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel York Yow. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
