Obituary of Robert Maxwell

Mr. Robert W. 'Bob' Maxwell, 80, of Greensboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 12, 2012, after years of declining health. Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Jack Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Maxwell was born August 26, 1931, in Guilford County to George and Annie Troxler Maxwell. He grew up in the Monticello Community and was a graduate of NC State. He retired from Pilot Life/Jefferson Pilot after over 30 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was well known for his good sense of humor, good nature, and positive attitude. Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Mary Osborne Maxwell; daughter, Patricia Owens (Keith); sons, Russell Maxwell (Tanya) and Jim Maxwell (Carla); grandchildren, Jessica Maxwell, Courtney Maxwell, Bobby Maxwell, Carl Maxwell, JR Maxwell, Katy Maxwell, Neal Maxwell, Jordan Owens, and Madison Owens; great-grandchild, Trace.
