Obituary of William Benjamin

GREENSBORO ' Mr. William Benjamin Coe (Bill), 85, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012. He was born in Guilford County and was the son of the late Jesse and Pearl Coe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Parker Coe and brother Jesse Coe, Jr. Born on April 6, 1927, Mr. Coe served his country in the military for more than 20 years. Four years in the US Navy during World War II and for over 20 years in the US Coast Guard. Upon retiring from military service, he served as the manager of the Guilford Wildlife Club. After retiring from this second career, he enjoyed refurbishing boats, repairing small engines, having breakfast with friends, and visiting his family. Mr. Coe is survived by his sister Nancy Coe Wheeler, her husband, Harold and five nieces. In honor of Mr. Coe's wishes, his remains will be cremated and his ashes, along with those of his wife will be scattered at the Outer Banks.
