Obituary of Dawn Holmes McClintock

Dawn Holmes McClintock, 78, died on May 30, 2013, at her home with her loving family surrounding her. Dawn was born January 24, 1935, to Artley and Adelaide Shepard Holmes in Guilford County. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Brown Summit Baptist Church with the Pastor Carl Shelton and Ronald Fix officiating. The interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dee Ann Caviness and husband Clarence; a brother, Artley (Sonny) Holmes Jr. and a grandson, Nathan Lee Cable. She is survived by her husband, Robert Leo McClintock of 56 years; two daughters, Robin McClintock Cable and husband, Mark; Donna McClintock Laughter and husband John; a sister, Faye Holmes Shane and husband, Bobby and many nieces and nephews. Dawn graduated from Rankin High School in 1953 and in 1955 from Greensboro Business College. She worked and retired as a bookkeeper in the account receivable department with Kayser Roth. She is a member of Brown Summit Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, from 6:00 till 8:00pm.
