Obituary of Helen Carter George

Mrs. Helen Carter George, 92, formerly of Greensboro, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Phoenix Assisted Living in Cary, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Michael Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. George was born June 7, 1922 in Guilford County, to William and Lizzie Smith Carter. She was married to the late William C. George and retired from Abbott Lab in North Chicago after over 20 years of service. She loved to cook and crochet. Mrs. George is survived by her son, William "Mike" George and wife Vilma; granddaughter, Hannah George and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, prior to the service.
