Obituary of Terra Swinney

Terry Lyn Swinney, 28, of Madison went to heaven on Wednesday, November 11 2009. No words can give justice to the wonderful person Terra was and still is within the hearts of all of those who loved her. She always saw the positive in any situation. Terra was giving person and there was no one she would say 'no' to. She loved to dance and laugh. In her short life accomplished so much, from riding drag sled in the Iditarod, flying a plane, being a champion cutting horse competitor to becoming a successful entrepreneur. She had a courageous spirit and an underlying will to leave things better than she found them. Above all else Terra valued her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife to her husband, Kerry. Her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful baby boy, Tristen Douglas. She was an extraordinary mother totally devoted to helping Tristen become a loving and compassionate soul. Tristen embodies all of the wonderful things that we love and will miss about her. Terra was a loving and supportive daughter of Doug Hepler and Kathy Palma as well as Michael Savage. She was a loyal and best friend to her sister, Diana Rae. She will be forever loved by a niece and three nephews. Terra is irreplaceable to all who knew her and will remain with us in our hearts. Visitation of Family and Friends will be at the home of Melissa Eller, 3402 Old Barn Road, Greenboro, NC 27410,on Sunday from 2-6pm. The Funeral will take place at 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church at 4311 Wayne Road Greensboro NC 27407. In lieu of flowers an Educational Trust Fund has been established for Tristen.
