Obituary of Aaron Pinkelton

Aaron Franklin Pinkelton, 86 died Monday evening at Morningview Assisted Living following a year of declining health. Funeral service will be held at the Lambeth Troxler Chapel on Thursday, December 31st, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Aaron was born September 4, 1923 to the late Luther and Lessie Pinkelton. He was married to the late Ethel Guffey Pinkelton and was a World War II veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. Aaron retired from Cone Mills and Forbis and Dick. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Leon Pinkelton, sons-in-law Bill McBride, Jim Bostic and niece Janice Land. He is survived by one brother, John Russell Pinkelton (Magdalene), daughters Janelle Bostic and Ellen McBride, grandchildren, Joe Pinkelton (Maria), Nicole McBride and West McBride (Velvet); great-grandchildren Connor and Kennedy McBride, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his life-long friend, Iris Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or the charity of your choice. A very special thank you to the staff at Morningview who provided loving and compassionate care to Aaron and his family during his stay. The family would also like to thank all of the staff and volunteers from Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for making the last month of Aaron's life more comfortable for not only him but for his family as well. The family will receive friends at Lambeth Troxler Funeral Home from 6PM until 8PM on Wednesday, December 30th, and at other times, at the residence of Russell and Magdalene Pinkelton at 3206 Orange Street.
