Obituary of Robert Osborne

Mr. Robert W. Osborne Sr., of Randleman, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at Woodland Hill in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Osborne was born March 26, 1920, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Graham and Beulah Etter Osborne. He retired from Thompson-Arthur Paving Company where he had worked as a pipeline foreman for most of his adult life. He was preceded in death by his wife Kate Osborne, daughter Pat Jennings, and second wife Mae Osborne. Mr. Osborne is survived by his daughter, Margaret Isley and husband Russell, of Greensboro; son, Robert W. Osborne Jr., and wife Charlotte, of Randleman; sisters, Daisy Hancock, Ruth Fulton and husband Clarence, Alice Anderson and husband Elmer, Thelma McQueen and husband Mack, and Doris Summers; brothers, Wayne Osborne, George Osborne and wife Maryann, Harry Osborne and wife Linda; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
