Obituary of Eula Vernon

McLeansville, NC Mrs. Eula Mae Jones Vernon, 90, of McLeansville passed away Saturday January 16, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. Eula was born in Guilford County on May 9, 1919 the daughter of James Randleman and Mattie Lee Randolph Jones. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Vernon and an infant daughter. Surviving are two daughters, Willa Dean Petty of Pelham and Nancy "Polly" Stanley of McLeansville; two sons John Richard Vernon of McLeansville and James M. Vernon of Pleasant Garden; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home and all other times at the home of Jennifer Vernon 2019 Twain Road Greensboro.
