Obituary of Mabel Wrenn

Mrs. Mabel Ruth Wrenn, 94, of Greensboro, died Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel, with Mark Shelley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Wrenn was born December 12, 1915, in Guilford County, to Edgar E. and Addie Holder Hanner. She was the wife of the late Denny Wrenn and in fellowship at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel. She was very devoted to her savior Jesus Christ and a bright and shinning testimony to the residence and staff at Blumenthal's. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hanner and four sisters. Mrs. Wrenn is survived by her niece, Jerry Pegram, of the home; brother, Richard Hanner and wife Myrthia Lee, of Columbia, SC; nieces, Louise Sparks, of Silar City, Jean Fryar and husband Woody, of Raleigh, Cynthia Davis, Barbara Gardner, both of Greensboro, and Dwina Grant and husband Dale, of Florida; nephews, Jim Clark and wife Ann, of Stoneville, Ronald Clark and wife, Larion Clark, all of Florida and Mike Clanton, and wife Karen, of Missouri; stepsons, Lawrence Wrenn and wife Thelma, Carl Wrenn, and wife Lucille, and Eugene Wrenn; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; Ruby Payne, of Pittsboro Christian Village. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 pm Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
