Obituary of Winfred Mills

Mr. Winfred L. Mills, age 92 passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am February 27, 2010 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Reverend Brian Sexton officiating. Mr. Mills was born August 18, 1917 in Guilford County, NC to Lelon and Hettie Alvis Mills. He served in the United States Army during WWII and retired from Cone Mills. Winfred was an avid golfer, fisherman and was on a bowling league for many years. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife Leta H. Mills, a brother; William and his wife Elizabeth Mills; a sister in law June Mills, and a brother in law Lacy Boger.
