Obituary of Ruth Arlene

Mrs. Ruth Arlene Cox, 81 passed away Sunday April 11, 2010 at Clapp's Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday April 15, 2010 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Dr. Joe Giaritelli officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Mrs. Cox was born October 27, 1928 in Guilford County, NC to Marvin and Mabel Jordan Steele. Arlene was employed by Burlington Industries for 39 years and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, playing bridge, traveling especially to the mountains. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her husband David Grant Cox, a sister Doris Ward, a brother Wallace Steele, and a sister-in-law Douglas Wilson. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Cox Ham and husband William Linzey Ham, Jr., Janine King and husband Jim King, two grandchildren; Chris King and wife Leslie, Jennifer King, two great grandchildren ; Tanner King and Emma King, two sister-in-laws Rachel Preston, Ferle Hensley and a brother ' in-law JT Ward.
