Obituary of Charles Pinkelton

Mr. Charles 'Pinky' Thomas Pinkelton, 82 of Stokesdale passed away May 4, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital. Mr. Pinkelton was born July 8, 1927 in Guilford County, NC to Thurman and Ollie Mae Gregory Pinkelton. He was a WWII veteran where he served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps, a 32nd Degree Mason, a past president of the Oasis Shrine Club and a member of the Oriental Band. Charlie enjoyed traveling to the beach and NASCAR. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Barbara Thompson Pinkelton, a son Allen Pinkelton and wife Anne, a granddaughter; Caroline Pinkelton, and a grandson Cameron Pinkelton. The family will receive friends and family Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of the Triad, P.O.
