Obituary of Marie Bishop

Marie Minor Bishop Marie Minor Bishop passed away at her residence and went to be with her Heavenly Father peaceably on May 11, 2010. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Friday May 14, 2010 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnie Phillips and Reverend Earl Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Marie was born on April 4, 1934 in Guilford County. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Gethsemane and was very active in the church. She loved her church family dearly. She was a former employee at Lawndale Steak House and later in life at Sunstate Maintenance Incorporated working at American Express. Marie was an Angel on earth and cared for everyone she met. You would not see her without a bow in her hair and a smile on her face. Marie is survived by a daughter, Marie Bishop Freeman, granddaughters Hope and Jessica Freeman, a brother Grover F. Minor, a sister Geneva M. Glover and a host of nieces and nephews. Maria, Hope and Jessica would like to thank Sandy P. Minor for her love and support over the past several months. The family will receive friends Thursday May 13, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service and other times at the residence.
