Dear Suzan and Jon,
I am very sorry for your loss. You should be very proud that your father was a Marine and served his country in time of war.
He raised a very fine daughter, and knowing her for so many years has been an honor and a joy.
Again, my deepest sympathy upon the passing of your father.
Semper Fidelis,
Charles

My mother's sister, Nell, was married to Don E. Ayers. I remember that as a child, Aunt Nell and Uncle Don often spoke of Don's brother, Spurgeon, and how proud they were of him. I also remember Jane, a beautiful blond niece who passed away early. Don Ayers was a fine man, and I'm sure his brother, Spurgeon, was also. My condolences to his family.

Coach Ayers had a very positive influence on me as well as all who were coached and taught by him. There are two other men I hold in the same high esteem as did my father and Coach Ayers is one of them. He was a good man with a tremendous sense of humor, a great teacher of life and a great friend. I shall miss him a lot.

Extending our condolences in the loss of your beloved. Mr. Ayers impacted our lives as students at Central Junior High School in the late 1950's. As grandparents, we often recall those days with fond memories and a desire that our present generation could experience such glorious times. May you be comforted with precious memories and the grace of the Lord.
Our prayers and sympathy go out to you.
