Obituary of Dorothy Smith

Mrs. Dorothy Engle O'Brien Smith, 63 of 131 Rustic Lane, Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Thursday July 15, 2010 at 3:50 a.m. at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Dorothy Smith was born July 13, 1947 in Little Falls, NY. She was a college graduate and a retired cook from Jan's House Restaurant on West Market Street in Greensboro, NC after 36 years of service; she was known as Mom to most of the 3rd shift customers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Terry Lee Smith. She has left behind five children ; Julie Pryce (husband Earl), Gregory Smith, Amy Duncan, Jason Smith (wife Christy), and Amber Smith; thirteen wonderful grandchildren ; Andrew Caudle, Hailey Pryce, Brittany Botts, Marshall Duncan, Dillion Robins, Kelcie Smith, Jacob Smith, Abbie Leonard, Gavin Smith, Hannah Smith, Olivia Chilton, Madalyn Smith and Kyle Smith. A loving mother, grandmother and friend she will be dearly missed. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Monday July 19, 2010 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Revered Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
