I was so sorry to learn about Rober’s passing. He hunted deer with my dad for many years in South Carolina. He used to cut my hair and I loved to hear old hunting stories about their hunting trips. Carol and I express our condolences to Michael and his family.

Mike & Carla, I am So Very Sorry to hear of Rober’s passing and I know he is going to be missed by his family and by The Town
Of Kernersville. He was one of the sweetest people I know. I can remember those delicious watermelons he offered freely. I’d see
Him in the grocery store and when we finished chatting, he’d say “ Now on your way home, stop by the house and pick u up a watermelon out there in the yard”! Whenever he ran into my son Mike he give him 2 pieces of bubblegum, and say give the other
One to your Mama! That was a real treat back in the 70’s!
When your Mama passed away Mike, I was working at Forsyth Hospital at the time, and was always so glad to be able to be there
at night, because when he got ready to leave, I would assure him I would be there to check on her during my shift. You were blessed to have parents that loved you so much, and Carla they both loved you. If I had to guess though, those grandsons
we’re the ones they cherished the most.
I know you will “cherish” the memories and feel the love he had for all of you! Kernersville was very fortunate to have had Rober
Blackburn. He will be a person I’m sure that will long live in people’s ♥️ and never be forgotten.
